Your SAK correspondent finally has the first part in our continuing, ill-ordered series of Harlem Shakes A/Vs. Turn the lights down low, pop the popcorn, get cozy:
Then check this vid of the boys bringing the noise at Bowery last year (but you gotta jump first) with a new song:

Your SAK correspondent could not be prouder to have some fresh A/V content for you. Number two in our series, which is to slowly unfold like a well-paced alt-rockpera, features The Harlem Shakes (recently spotted opening some dates for Vampire Weekend down in Florida and Georgia, though that isn’t the first time), gussied up for an interview that we conducted at our loft studio (and now available on YouTube!). We’re starting with Part 2, cause, hey, that’s how we roll.
Underneath this jump down here, you can grab a vid of Le Shakes covering a fine ‘lil MGMT jam called “Kids” at Bowery Ballroom last year (it’s not SAK level video, but what is?).

We promised when we posted our first round of exclusive Ravens And Chimes videos that there would be more–and we have it just in time to get you excited about the Ravens crew’s show at Union Pool tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th. Two more SAK A/Vs (are you willing to tolerate our branding lingo in exchange for the goods?) are available from the band below.
First up is a rousing run through “This Is Where We Are,” the opening track of R&C’s debut album, Reichenbach Falls, in which four members of the group carry us through the ether as Asher sings, all the way to the rousing coda, of fires and floods:
Another Ravens video jam and info about a D.C. gig after the jump.
Four members of New York City-based six piece Ravens and Chimes came by our loft studio a few weeks ago to record SAK A/V #1 (A/V: that’s just our fancy way of sayin’ we got exclusive videos, y’all).
We’ve got four songs total from the SXSW-bound group, two of which we’re posting today. First up: a rocking run through of overlooked in ’07’s “General Lafayette! You Are Not Alone”:
After the jump, we’ve got an excerpt of a much longer interview with R&C frontman Asher, an all-out “Archways” and all the SXSW Ravens info you’ll need to get that East Village feeling all the way down in the Lone Star State. (more…)
